Reliable use under tough conditions

The pilot valves VOFD and VOFC enable   reliable actuation of valve actuators like flaps and cylinders as well as   diaphragm and semi-rotary drives. Their sturdy design, high corrosion   resistance and the availability of solenoid coils with different types of ignition protection make the valves suitable for use in explosive atmospheres up to zone 1/21 – including outdoor applications.

The valves are certified to IEC 61508 and can be used in safety-related circuits up to SIL 3. They can also be used in emergency shutdown applications. A housing with hard Ematal plating protects the solenoid valve against corrosion and mechanical stress in the long term. The solenoid valves are now available with a new SIL certificate – with no restrictions on the duration of use. Based on decades of operational dependability, the maximum duration of use is no longer limited. This is an enormous advantage for customers planning new systems and for customers who have been using these solenoid valves for many years.

Universal valve for a broad range of applications

The universal variant of the indirectly actuated VOFC combines operation with internal and external pilot air in one housing, which helps to reduce warehousing costs and variation. The valve can simply be converted by turning a screw.

International certifications

The valve series VOFC and VOFD offer a range of variants, including low-temperature variants for temperatures down to -50°C, stainless steel versions and a range of international explosion protection certifications like ATEX, IEC Ex, Inmetro, TR CU, Nepsi and Kosha.
