Superconductor technology enables the contactless movement and handling of objects – ideal for high-tech industries such as laboratory automation or biotechnology. At the Hannover Messe, Festo presents a concept for the fully automated filling and weighing of freeze-dry containers in cleanrooms. Thanks to SupraMotion levitation modules and products from the Festo automation portfolio for laboratory applications, the highest standards of cleaning and cleanliness can be met. 

Con SupraCube, Festo presenta por primera vez un concepto de SupraMotion en el que la unidad superconductora se puede separar del refrigerador eléctrico y puede funcionar de forma autónoma durante un máximo de dos horas. Esta tecnología compacta permite mover y manipular objetos sin contacto, lo cual resulta idóneo en industrias con estrictos requisitos de limpieza, como la automatización de laboratorios, la biotecnología o la producción de semiconductores.

In future-oriented fields such as laboratory automation or biotechnology the requirements placed on the cleaning of production facilities and their purity are very high. With superconductor technology, objects can be moved and handled without contact, which is ideal for such applications. At the Hannover Messe 2020 trade fair, Festo will be presenting the SupraModule concept, which enables wireless control of functions on a magnetic, floating carrier with an autonomous energy supply.

Highly pure, sterile processes are a key challenge for the industrial production – especially in food processing and the pharmaceuticals and medical technology industries, but also in the electronics sector. To keep manufacturing processes as free from contamination as possible, the workpieces and the workroom should be separated from each other. This can be achieved with superconductor-based levitation. Festo will be showing its concept for non-contact weighing and measuring at Achema 2022.
