Transforming electronics skills development through innovation

Modernizing electronics training laboratories with the Electeo learning system

"Electronics skills are essential for technical professions – they are a decisive driver of automation and sustainability," explains Dr. Oliver Niese, Chairman of the Management Board of Festo Didactic SE. Electeo by Festo Didactic is a solution designed to make practical electronics education effective and fully aligned with the latest trends in technical education.

Electeo is an interactive learning system for electronics that brings theory to life through a collection of courses focusing on hands-on experimentation. Working on compact workstations equipped with specialized circuits boards and digital data acquisition tools, learners explore, measure, and understand the core concepts of electricity and a range of topics in analog and digital electronics. The system is aimed at vocational and technical schools, universities and industrial training centers.

Modern training for industry readiness

Electeo gives an idea how Festo leverages its industry and didactic expertise to use technology to improve the learning and teaching experience. At the heart of Electeo is a newly developed electronic core that acts as a universal laboratory interface system to provide seamless communications between the hardware and the courseware. The advantages at a glance:

• Embedded test and measurement devices – no external hardware required

• Broad compatibility – works with most web browsers across computers, tablets, and smartphones

• Flexible network connectivity – adaptable to different IT environments

• Easy IT management – plug-and-play approach, no software installation

Digital learning and simulation with Festo LX and FluidSIM 365

Electeo unfolds its full potential when used in combination with the Festo LX digital learning portal. Interactive content, virtual tools and intuitive operation enable learners to learn regardless of time and place. Teachers benefit from flexible tools and learning content for designing courses and evaluating learners. The simulation software FluidSIM 365 can also be accessed directly from Festo LX, enabling learners to simulate and test and electronics circuits in real time.
