Festo to expand capacity in North and South American regions with new plant in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon

Festo will invest $100 million dollars in the plant, highlighting the strategic focus "Local for Local", where the objective is to open up the great growth potential of these markets.

Festo today laid the first stone of its new plant with three construction phases, which will gradually generate 1,500 new jobs. Construction of the plant, which will be ready in 2025, will require an investment of $100 million dollars.

From this plant in Salinas Victoria, automation solutions will be offered to sectors such as automotive, mining, pharmaceuticals and electronics.

Festo has not produced in Mexico so far. However, the country occupies a key position as a production location for supplying the North American markets and is becoming increasingly important for supplying the South American market.

Monterrey is one of the most important industrial locations in Latin America and is considered one of the most attractive university cities in Mexico with international universities and well-trained professionals. Festo is well connected there with important customers and technical universities and maintains a Festo Didactic training centre and a sales office in this city.

The site is located in the renowned industrial park “Interpuerto Monterrey", where other well-known international companies and customers also produce. The location is in the immediate vicinity of the airport as well as Festo Monterrey and only 200 km away from the US border.

The new plants in Mexico will provide an important basis for our future growth and will further strengthen Festo´s global competitiveness and our resilience in the supply chains.
