Baumer - proportional pressure regulator VPPM
Proportional pressure regulator VPPM from Festo: the DPP piston pump regulates the air input pressure instead of the fluid pressure, and thus sets the required fluid pressure. The VPPM controls the air volume on the input side.

Baumer - twin-piston pump DPP
Twin-piston pump DPP from Baumer hhs: the centrepiece of the gluing process – the proportional valve VPPM from Festo can be seen at the bottom of the photo.

Baumer - high-precision gluing
High-precision gluing of folding boxes: systems from Baumer hhs make it possible to apply glue with millimetre accuracy without any contact with the blank, even at the highest production speeds.
Frugalpac 5
Festo’s CPX-E-CEC Controller regulates multiple axes simultaneously to achieve the complex curves on the glue paths, while Festo CMMT servo controllers are used for precise and repeatable loading, gluing and unloading.
Frugalpac 4
Frugal Bottles are manufactured from two paperboard blanks and require complex gluing patterns that can be tailored to different profiles.

The future belongs to human-robot cooperation. System builder BEC developed such a collaborative solution for Siemens Healthineers. It inserts coils weighing several tonnes precisely into the magnets of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines. Electric cylinders from Festo, which ensure the coils are securely gripped, play a crucial role here.

BEC – Servo drive CMMT-ST
Practical: the drive amplifiers, in this case the servo drives CMMT-ST, are mounted on the robot itself, rather than on the gripper system. This frees up space on the gripper and makes it less complicated.

BEC – Supports with electric cylinders
Flexible, robust and precise: the supports with electric cylinders from Festo need to be powerful enough to be able to hold the coils weighing up to 1.5 tonnes, but at the same time not so powerful that they damage them.
