“Up there with the best of the best”

Festo wins a Bosch Global Supplier Award

Festo has held preferred supplier status at Bosch since 2015. Now the company has won the Bosch “Global Supplier Award”, placing it among the world’s best suppliers to the technology and service company. Bosch was impressed by the global availability of Festo’s products and services, the global support from international project teams and the e-business services.

“The Bosch Global Supplier Award honours the best of the best. Of our around 23,000 suppliers worldwide, this year 46 companies secured a place on the winners’ rostrum,” says Dr Arne Flemming, Head of Supply Chain Management at Bosch.

Contribution to competitiveness
The company presents the award every two years for above-average performance in the manufacture and delivery of raw materials, products or services. As well as being a preferred supplier, Festo also contributes to Bosch’s competitiveness as a development partner. Festo won the award in the “Indirect purchasing” category. Bosch favours partnerships with suppliers that enable competitiveness in the long term. Partners characterised by close cooperation who get involved in the company’s strategies and development projects early on, and in this way align themselves for the future.
“With our global production, logistics and sales network, our mission as a reliable partner is to offer worldwide availability and intensive support for our customers locally in over 60 countries,” says Oliver Jung, Chairman of the Management Board of Festo. “What the many years of successful cooperation with Bosch show us is that we can look back with pride as a technology and innovation leader in industrial automation and technical education, and of course also look to the future.”

Part of the digitalisation strategy
Festo won the “Global Supplier Award” for the total package it offers in the “Indirect purchasing” category. The focus here was on topics like the global availability of products and services as well as global support from international project teams. Festo also scored points for its e-business offering. This includes things like online catalogues, order management, online invoicing or EDI connections. These solutions are part of Festo’s global digitalisation strategies.
“What drives us is the desire to not just satisfy our customers, but to inspire them. This award reflects Festo’s commitment and we couldn’t be prouder to accept it,” says Dr. Ansgar Kriwet, Member of the Management Board Sales at Festo. “We’re happy that our successful business relationship with Bosch is on such a stable footing, and are working on further expanding this partnership-based cooperation.”
Festo has held preferred supplier status for above-average performance in cooperation with the Bosch Group since 2015 and is thus a key supplier for special services with respect to innovative capacity, quality and reliability.
